After my best friend bought me the hamster set and a portable set,I had to get more. It teaches you responsibilities because you need to treach the pets well. I love to pretend I'm the storekeeper and sell the pets to fake owners. It is pretty durable and lots of fun. It is worth the money. I think you should buy this toy.

I have always loved the old littlest pet shops. They were made well and none of mine ever broke. These, however are a totally different story. Before I could even get it out of the package, the hamster tube's door fell off, and so did the front door.
And in very little time, the dog's head popped off. The door to the hamster's tube falls off every few minutes, and it's really annoying. Unless you want to spent half the time you play with it reassembling it, don't buy this toy! BRING BACK THE OLD LPS!!

My daughter got this for her 4th birthday. She loves it. She was very excited to show me everything it does. Its really neat and cute. Its very durable. I read that other people had problems with things breaking, but we have had no problems. In fact, she would have to purposely try to tear the doors off for them to come off. Maybe some people just got defective ones? I don't know, but ours seems pretty sturdy and it keeps her attention for a long time. The little hampster is so adorable and she loves showing me how the hampster scurries in his little tunnel to his bed. And the doggie is cute too. I'm glad she got this toy and I think we will add to it with other animals. Recommended, but then again, she is pretty gentle with her toys so maybe thats why we haven't had problems.

This is just the cutest toy ever! The only problem I've had is the bulletin board/doggie bed falls off. And the pipe is hard to shut after my lunacy of trying to get a rabbit to go down. But the turtles fit! I got this a few months ago and now have it set up in my basement, ready to play with! It is an encredibly educational toy, because you get to take care of pets by feeding them and neat stuff like that. Sometimes I just let my imagination play with them and they end up talking to eachother and going to fancy dinner parties! Either way, it's a great toy for all ages, no matter how you play with it!

I hate to take it away from her to return it, but that's what I plan to do. She absolutely loves playing with it, and even though it's only $20, I don't feel the quality is remotely worth the money. The fold-down doggie bed constantly falls off, the swinging door comes apart and the hamster tube has come apart. This after only 3 days of playing with it - and she's gentle. They've got the right idea because, seriously, it entertains her for hours, but I'm sick of constantly hearing "Oh no, it broke again."
