My girls love it! December 26, 2007 My girls love these little things. The pieces are a bit of a bother to keep up with. My girls are 9 yrs old and do well with them... I wouldn't recommend it for younger children.
The tinier the better February 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Given the immense popularity of Littlest Pet Shop toys with my granddaughter and her friends, how could I refuse, especially as a reward for work well done? The girls spend hours with these tiny toys, the bobble heads of a variety of animals triggering all sorts of imaginative forays and magical adventures. Once begun, one is never enough, a whole collection of odd little figures to be purchased and enjoyed for hours in benign play. After the first spate of Littlest Pet Shop animals came the digital Littlest Pet Shops and now the teeniest tiniest all-in-one box, complete with separate hamsters that fit snugly in their own chambers, the whole thing closed up compactly, with a clip to attach to a backpack. Although the tiniest aren't as functional as their "biggers", there is a certain charm to the size of the unit, easy for a child to carry along to amuse herself.
The hamsters are too tiny to merit the usual bobble heads that make the larger ones so adorable, but have a certain charm nonetheless, all three held in the palm of a hand. We chose the hamsters because they had the most appeal to my granddaughter, but the others are equally charming. I think the price point is a bit high, considering these items are mass-produced imports (hence the four stars instead of five), but that's par for the course with grandmothers. For me, it was money well spent to see the joy on a little girl's face when she opened her teeniest tiniest and named her hamsters on the spot. Luan Gaines/2007.
