Granddaughter loves it December 1, 2008 My granddaughter loved this game. She received the DS and the game for her birthday and played with it for hours. This was a good choice for an eight year old.
Good concept, but... October 26, 2008 My daughter just got this game for her 7th birthday and we are already frustrated with it! It is difficult to figure out the brushing (use brushes in order and push buttons on top of DS to turn horse around and get other side!) and it seems virtually impossible to keep the foal from getting sick! I am a vet who rode real horses for years and it is ridiculous that we can't keep this virtual creature happy! It's a good idea for horse-loving girls, but a little too complex and somewhat sad when your kid can't keep her foal from getting sick.
Horse brushing is confusing and diffuicult to understand September 10, 2008 The first time you wash your horse they show which order to go with the brushes. I do the orders but it won't let me finish brushing. I have to do each brush a certain amount by not getting all the dirt off, which is confusing. You also don't know when to switch brushes. The game is fun but the brushing is so difficult that I try to avoid it. Overall it a pretty fun game.
Fun But Nothing Great July 9, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This game is fun but you don't get the money you need for blankets for your horse, other food, and outfits for Ginger. I wish I had gotten Pony Friends instead of Horsez.
For every horse lover... June 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Since I fell from a horse and broke my arm, I haven't done horse-backriding for 2 years, and I miss it. This game really makes me feel like I really have a horse, wich is neet...The story-line's quite short, though there are a lot of things to do after that. BUT changing the litter in the horse's stall is long/boring...I hate it ! In general, it's really good, better than most horse games.
